Just returned to my studio after visiting the Nappi Wellness Center open house. It's an absolutely amazing center. And of course,as you can see, I was thrilled to see my encaustic piece, "Freedom Walk Il," prominently displayed in the reception area. Thank you, Upstate Foundation, for your continued support of the arts. Detail #studio #wip #encaustic #fingerlakes #eastcoast Sorelle Gallery curator Dylan Minowa arranging a few of my works for exhibition. The one he is holding sold pretty quickly to collectors in NYC. Check out my new work at the gallery and also at my Studio 245 in the Delavan Studios in Syracuse, NY, located near the famous Armory Square historical district. A sweet little display of my tiny garden series and my book. Visit my work at Cazenovia Artisans Gallery! I am very excited that this piece will be featured this year in the Nan Miller Gallery Garden Party event. Honored to have these two works, encaustic and m/m, selected by juror, Adam Peck, Adam Peck Gallery for the International Encaustic Conference exhibit in Provincetown. They are each 21 X 21" framed. The exhibit is being held at the Truro Center for the Arts. A beautiful day spent wandering the Sygamore Hill Gardens with my lovely nieces and being entertained by his majesty Henry. Also, a wonderful dinner out at Strata Mia with my sons. Fabulous! Renewal and Bloomin Vines are now showing at Cazenovia Artisans. Last clip of the installation at the Sorelle Gallery. Lots going on and so much more to come! Love this artist life! This is happening soon! Mark your Calendars and be among the first to see this beautiful facility! I am very honored to have my work as part of the permanent collection. Thank you!

Linda Bigness is an internationally exhibited artist who maintains a gallery/studio in Syracuse, New York. Her work has been exhibited in several prestigious solo and group shows that have involved notable jurors such as art critic Clement Greenberg, Ivan Karp, director of OK Harris Gallery in NYC, and Tom Piche, director of the Daum Museum of Contemporary Art. In addition, Bigness’ large scale paintings are often selected and commissioned for corporate and residential clients, including the Turning Stone Resort, Merrill Lynch Corporation, Haylor, Freyer and Coon, and Bausch and Lomb. She continues to exhibit professionally at several venues with artwork featured frequently at the Nan Miller Gallery in Rochester, NY. Presently she is working on her latest book and exhibition about abstract art and the contemporary processes used by working artists today. Part of the research for this book is taken from the workshops she teaches and her oil painting and mixed media collage experience. For over 30 years Bigness has used her expertise to share with others the unique beauty and processes of her chosen medium through writing, teaching and professional exhibits. Her first book “Paint It, Tear It, Create It” offered the reader insight into visual abstract thinking through the process of collage into painting. She continues to explore the abstract through surface manipulation using encaustics and oil and is currently working on a new series, the “Journey Stones Revisited,” a reflection upon her extensive travels throughout the United States and Europe.
